Online? Nah, that’s the last thing you need.
Another boring Zoom. It seems like all you do these days is virtual meetings, and they just seem to waste a lot of perfectly good time without much real progress. All the while, you sit in your “Brady Bunch” box in soul-crushing boredom, or you turn off the video and put up a headshot while you get a snack, multitask, and struggle to stay awake.
Yawn…
Heck, you might even have fallen asleep in a Zoom training on how to make your Zoom training more interesting!
No, not again! No more Zooms! Please!!!
Relax! Online therapy is anything but boring!
I know. You can’t bear the thought of being bored to tears and frustrated to distraction.
I don’t like that idea any more than you – or anyone else – does. But this isn’t your average Zoom!
The first major difference is that we work one-on-one. You won’t be confined to a tiny rectangle on the screen, forced to type your questions in the chat window, or to raise your virtual hand, waiting for someone to recognize you.
It’s just you and me – face-to-face, working through your issues together – in real-time.
While we may not be close enough to enjoy an elbow bump, it’s a lot more personal – and higher in bandwidth – than phone coaching.
It’s unexpectedly interactive!
Interactive styles of hypnosis are most helpful for you, so get ready! You won’t spend the whole call battling Mr. Sandman.
In fact, I’m typically opposed to people closing their eyes during a session, and that can often improve your results.
And working directly with me live over video means that you’ll be responding and interacting the whole way through the session.
Why is video important?
The video component is critical to me as your hypnotist because it’s how I get feedback from your unconscious mind.
I’ll often ask you for verbal responses or “What’s happening now?” in response to an idea or suggestion. I want to ensure that we make the most efficient and effective use of our time together, so I’ll be checking how everything is working throughout the entire session.
But your unconscious mind has a lot of other ways to communicate – and your conscious mind may be totally unaware of them. So, in addition to your verbal responses, I’ll be watching for unconscious movements of your hands and fingers and changes in breathing, posture, and body language.
Also, I want to see your face – and we can’t yet do that in a safe, masked office.
And that’s not all.
The benefits of doing this work remotely are numerous. Many people who call me have one or more risk factors that put them at high risk – not only for the big pandemic but any random, mundane germ.
I’m in this to help people be free and healthy, so your safety is very important to me.
We all know that running a local errand here in Seattle could cost you an extra hour or two simply in traffic if Lady Luck isn’t smiling on you. Add to that the struggle to find suitable parking or just a new and unfamiliar location itself, and you’ve almost doubled the time you need for your session.
And just think of the gas and mileage you’ll save, as well as the state of peace and tranquility – even excitement about your upcoming session – you retain by avoiding all that plus inclement weather and the expense and unpredictability of childcare.
When you look at it that way, trying to get to an office just isn’t worth it.
But hypnosis – especially online hypnosis – definitely is (worth it).
I’m such a big believer that I’ve not only built my company around using it to change people’s lives for the better, but I also practice it every day for myself.
And I’m such a big proponent of this online video call hypnosis that when I want to receive help from other coaches and hypnotists, I almost always do that over Zoom. In fact, that is also the method I use to help train other hypnotists around the world.
I choose it not only because some of the best people in the world are on other continents, but even when I need a hand from a local colleague, online therapy is just the way to go.
And the benefits just keep on coming.
Convenience aside, there are also some very good practical reasons you should want to work over Zoom.
Real life doesn’t happen in an office setting. It’s often difficult to gauge whether you’ve really internalized the changes you need to make without the triggers and associations of home life.
And no matter what you want to accomplish – weight loss, smoking cessation, or something else – your most significant trouble spots are likely to be in your home (or any setting you choose for your session), so it’s easier to bring them to mind if you’re actually where they happen.
Worried you’ll sacrifice something by doing the work remotely?
Don’t be.
You get all the same structure and content that you’d have in an in-person session, but you may even prefer being online!
Less stressed and more comfortable in your home environment, you may find it easier to open up, get to the root of your issues, and make lasting positive changes in your life.
Getting started is easier than you might think.
For your setup, you’ll need a desktop or laptop computer. Although you can use a cell phone or tablet, it’s best to be plugged in with your camera mounted and pointed directly at you. That way, battery life doesn’t become a problem, and you can work hands-free with no distractions.
You’ll also want to have updated your Zoom app recently and keep headphones or earbuds available because I tend to speak softly while doing hypnosis.
Finally, you’ll want to have the room to yourself. Make sure to tell your housemates not to interrupt your session – that goes for furry friends, too. You want to create a situation where you can focus on getting through our work efficiently – so you get to your results in the easiest way possible.
Turn back now!

Oh, no – you’re still reading! You were supposed to have taken action above! I mean – you don’t have to take action, but –
Just don’t blame me when life gets crazy, you’ve not reached out, and your issues continue for months or even years when we could have resolved them in one session!
It’s low pressure but high results! And don’t worry. The computer won’t bite (at least I have no verified reports of that.…).
I look forward to helping you become the powerful, confident person you truly want to be.
